Victoria Park toilets cleaning should improve
Many visitors to the wonderful Victoria Park will have been relieved (pun intended) to find more toilets available to users, catering to a wide range of needs and abilities.
However, a resident raised with me a concern that some of the toilets in the park aren’t cleaned as often as others. There seemed to be a particular problem with the toilets near the Pavilion Cafe.
I raised this issue with the park team and they said the following:
“The schedule for the toilet cleaning is twice daily in the winter months and increases to three times a day in the summer.
Unfortunately, some park users disrespect our fantastic toilet facilities and leave them in a
terrible state.
We also recently had issues with the current cleaning contractor’s performance resulting in us changing to an alternative contractor. Since the change we have seen a marked improvement in cleaning standards.
Hopefully this will continue in the future.“
I’m sure all visitors to the park will join me in extending our gratitude to the cleaning staff for their work and we all look forward to making full use of the facilities in the park as the weather warms up.
