New rubbish collection system for some Bow West residents

12 September, 2024 | Local action

Residents above shops in Bow West need to be aware of changes to your rubbish collection which could result in a fine if you don’t comply.

The council has just approved plans to introduce time-banded collections from residential properties above shops on certain high streets in Tower Hamlets.

If you live above a shop, please be sure to check this document for your address and the times of your collections: https://democracy.towerhamlets.gov.uk/documents/s241636/APPENDIX%20C%20-%20timebands%20v.2%20-%2002-09-2024.pdf

If your address is not listed, your rubbish collections will not change.

Please make sure you only put out your rubbish bags in the time slot provided. If you don’t follow these instructions, you could receive a fine from the council.

I don’t think the council has communicated as effectively as possible with residents about this change, so I’ve posted this article online and in my ward newsletter to try and get the word out.
